The Outdoor Life

If it can be done, do it. If it can't, think of a way it can!

Over the past 35 years of my adult life, I have gained a very diverse portfolio of adventures from which I have been blessed to be a participant in. This wealth of experience and knowledge has defined my character, my morals and values and my healthy respect for people and the great outdoors. It is a true definition of an Outdoorsman!

As a cyclist: I have been riding for over 30 years both professionally and recreationally, on the road and in the dirt. My professional career started in Big Bear Lake, CA racing the NORBA Circuit with GT Bicycles and other companies like Bullet USA, Qranc USA, TWP and many others. It was an exciting time and gave me massive insight into the culture and corporate side of the industry. Diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, I try to ride every weekend and get away at least once a month to somewhere epic. I ride my road or cross bike on the local roads and Greenways. As a bike mechanic, I try to help other cyclists learn about wrenching on their bikes through free private/public workshops.

As a kayaker: I have experienced the raging whitewater of the Colorado Rocky rivers and the flats of Inland Florida and the Oceans of the Gulf and the Atlantic. Growing up in San Diego, CA I have spent almost all my free time on the water surfing, boarding, and snorkeling.

As an equestrian & hunter: I had a large horse ranch in Colorado where I trained pack horses for riding and hunting Colorado’s backcountry. Bowhunting has always been a passion of mine and as a Jr. Olympic Archery Instructor, I loved watching young teens do more than play video games. Hunting the Colorado Rockies can be brutal, but there is nothing like being in there, with only your steed and wildlife!

As a photographer (Widow Creek Photography): I specialize in the following areas: Commercial Products, Food, Action Sports, Journalism, and Pets & Animals. 18 years as a professional photographer brings vision and creativity to your project through still photographs and moving video production. 24 years of marketing experience, visually communicating between clients and their consumers to increase the value of your products and services.

Photography for a business is an investment; likewise, as a photographer, I have invested funds and time into education and real-world experience to develop my skills offering you top quality work. Having the best photographic ingredients, add in years of experience, and the result is a superior photograph!

As an Internet marketing specialist: I have owned and operated Interlogic Graphics & Marketing since 1994. There are vivid, unique and sometimes, even revolutionary ideas based on my work. It is the foundation of every project, no matter if it’s digital marketing or a PR campaign and I always meet the client's goals. My raison d’être is to master the best web solutions in the industry and solve all our client’s needs and expectations. There are a lot of powerful brands among my clients, all satisfied with our partnership.ctations. Promoting Your Products & Services

Contact me to review your product or service.

I love being able to pass on to my fellow outdoorsmen information about great companies, products, and services that fit into an outdoor lifestyle. With over 3 million views on Google+, 850k video views and over 12k followers–I have a very attentive group of folks that trust I have put the products through rigorous paces and that my opinions are genuine and authentic to the experience–good or bad. If I have an unpleasant experience, I try to work with the company directly. Not every product is perfect, but it’s how the company stands behind their product that defines their character, and that their most valuable asset! I am a proactive blogger. I don’t just sit back and wait for the internet to find me; I seek them out and hunt them down through Communities, Groups, and Forums–where I can reach an additional 1 million people with a single article.

About the Links - My Promise

Marketing is in my blood - most of my friends know that. However, the reason it works for me is that it works for the companies I recommend - it's that simple. There are many sites out there that have more irrelevant ads than content - DELETE! Then some sites will automatically build and load content with tons of links to different products, mostly unrelated to the content - DELETE!

man-937665You will NOT find that on this site - we'll leave it for this guy! I have a great day job, this is not part of my income. Besides at the 1-4% affiliates pay, it would take a bazillion visitors to make a significant financial impact. It's just not going to happen.

So why do it at all?

It's fun and I enjoy helping fellow adventures! Also, I occasionally get free products directly from brands for my reviews and trips, so that's kind of a perk.

Most of the links are to Amazon, but when possible, I'll link to the individual company site. This way you get more information and the ability to ask additional questions, it's more critical that get you the right information directly from the horse's mouth.

My promise to you.

All the links to products and services are from the products and services I have used whether I purchased them or a Brand sent it to me. Be it a good or bad experience; I'll still post the link because my experience may differ from your experience. I always give an honest and descriptive opinion without holding back, maybe not politically correct either, just raw and unfiltered. When looking at a product or service, I look for excellent build quality and durability, ease of use, and most importantly, company/person support. There are many good products out there, but if the service, employee, or owner is "not nice" I do not use them and thus will not recommend them!
