5 Fun Hobbies for People Who Love the Outdoors
With summer right around the corner, all you outdoor lovers are probably trying to find fun hobbies to start enjoying in the sun. Summer is always the highlight of the year, especially after being stuck indoors for so long due to the uncertainty of the pandemic. Luckily, we have put together five of the most enjoyable outside hobbies that you will love this summer!
1. Geocaching
Geocaching can be a really fun and adventurous hobby to start that just gives some excitement while enjoying your walks. If you aren't aware of what geocaching is, you can download the Geocaching app that shows you where boxes are hidden near you with surprises inside. It's like modern scavenger hunts! Of course, make sure you are wearing comfortable shoes and are safe, but this activity can be very rewarding and interesting.

2. Hiking and Camping
If you ever think to yourself that you are so tired of being engulfed in technology, maybe you should try hiking or camping. This is the perfect chance to get out into nature, enjoy some exercise, and also be off technology for a few hours. It's actually great for fighting anxiety and depression, too. No matter where you live, there are various opportunities to get out into nature. A lot of cities even have arboretums that are specifically for nature that people can enjoy walking, jogging, or biking through. You can even enjoy this activity with friends, family, or pets. It can be very comforting to disconnect from the internet and reconnect with nature!

3. Photography
Photography is sometimes viewed as something difficult, but it really doesn't have to be. Your photos don't have to be subjective or creative, but they can be something beautiful that you don't want to forget about. Sometimes people strive for perfection, and if they aren't immediately the best at it they give up. Don't do that! If you see a bee landing a beautiful flower, take a picture. If you see an abandoned house that you think looks interesting, take a picture. You can even take pictures of yourself and your friends. Photography doesn't have to be a profession, but it should be something you can enjoy by getting outside and finding beauty in things you maybe wouldn't have.

4. Foraging
This is an activity that has been done for years and years. You can enjoy this activity by finding a wildlife area and picking berries, nuts, and even mushrooms. This is great for being outdoors, finding food and other interesting finds, and just enjoying a relaxing walk in the woods. You'll obviously want to have some knowledge or resource to know what you're picking is safe, but even if not this is another great way to develop some photography skills. Capturing moments in the wild is always beautiful and rewarding.

5. Biking
Whether it's bicycles, motorcycles, or dirt bikes; biking is a great way to get outdoors and enjoy the sun. You can even find some beautiful spots that you may not have noticed just riding in a car. Many people love biking on country backroads. Dirt bikes, in particular, are really fun due to their versatile usage. Restoring, fixing up, or adding new parts to dirt bikes is a hobby that many people enjoy as well. Finding dirt bike parts and styling them how you want is a really personal and expressive hobby.

These are the five most fun, exciting experiences that we think you could enjoy this summer, either alone or with others. Enjoy this summer by getting out and having fun! Hopefully, these suggestions help you find a lifelong hobby.
